Cancer death rates in the U.S. continue to fall, dropping about 1.5% per year from 2018 to 2022, according to the latest Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer. After a brief dip in diagnoses during the COVID-19 pandemic, incidence rates have stabilized for men and risen slightly for women.
